Summary

Reed Sheppard is a secondary playing making guard that can play make for others at a high level, knock down open looks from the perimeter, and contribute to solid defense on the defensive end. His IQ and ability to play the game fundamentally right is what makes his game attractive. He isn’t a flashy/crafty guard in anyway, but he has the ability to simplify the game and be affective. On the defensive end, Reed is a under size guard that without the ability to add strength and become quicker laterally, will have to continue to rely on his IQ and awareness to not become a liability on this end. Reed has great hands and the ability to force big stops when need but it become inconsistent at time due to that lack of size and quickness.

Notes

City of Palms - Ft. Myers, FL - 12/18/2022

His high basketball IQ and efficiency from the field were evident as he consistently played to his strengths. The team operated like a well-oiled machine under his leadership. He scored in various ways, including shooting 4-7 from deep, driving to the basket for floaters or off-the-glass mid-range pull-up shots. He also showcased his playmaking skills kicking it out to open teammates for three-pointers.

NBPA Top 100 - Orlando, FL - 6/27 - 7/2/2022

Was very impressive with his hands on the defensive end, getting deflictions, picking off passing and several on-ball steals.

Big Shots Carolina Live - Rock Hill, SC - 9/6/2020

High IQ players, always seems to make the right play or be in the correct spot. Made open jumpers, created for his teammates and competed on the defensive end.
