Summary

Paolo Banchero is a power forward with a guard skillset. He has no problem with playing on the perimeter, he can handle the ball and take his man off the dribble with ease. He likes to get to his spot on the elbows by creating space with his ball handling or a step back. In the low post, he is comfortable with putting his head down and backing down his defender, but not quite enough. He has good awareness and strength to make full court go ahead passes to teammates that run the lane in transition after he snags down rebounds. He has good enough handles to lead fast breaks. He finishes through traffic, but is more comfortable with shooting the ball.

Notes

NBPA Top 100 - Lynchburg, VA - 2019

Big body combo forward that has great vision likes to rebound and push in transition.

USA Basketball Mini Camp - Colorado Springs, CO - 7/26-28/2019

Verticle player can play 1-4 and defend 1-5. Is really good with the ball in his hands. Finding open teammates on back cuts and in transition. Has great vision!

Pangos All-American Festival 4 - Phoenix, AZ - 11/7-8/2020

Paolo was as advertised being one of the best players in the country, he was defended well but was persistent at attacking the hoop, he has great size and strength, good handles with both hands, can shoot the ball from mid-range and deep very well, finishes well with both hands around the hoop, offensively he was not as effective with the D focusing on him, good defender overall showed passing abilities that were great for his size, made some impressive dunks, ran in transition well, didn't hustle back on D always, moves his feet well on offense and D, likes to shoot 3's, is very persistent with getting to the hoop even when his shot isn't falling, had a really nice hezzy mid-range pullup in his package.

Iverson Classic 2021- Bartlett - TN - 5/7/2021

Avoids defender in transition for an easy dunk in the lane. Uses pro hop to get past the awaiting defender for an easy two-hand dunk. L to R cross for a long jumper at the top of the key. Sheds defenders with ease for an easy layup at the rim.
