Summary
Keyonte George is a 6’4 shooting guard who is a smooth and skilled three-level scorer who plays the game his own way. His in-between game and ability to get to his spot is elite. George has a tight handle and a quick first step that helps him get to the basket and finish with efficiency at the rim. He has great body control as well, often absorbing contact and finishing over and through defenders. He doesn’t get rattled, often making the right read of offense and negating mistakes. George is an underrated athlete but is not an elite athlete. He is often taking plays off on defense and even often looks like he’s disappeared from the game on both ends of the floor. He has the tools to be a solid defender, but he doesn’t commit 100% right now on that end. When creating his own shot, he has great balance and body control, however, sometimes off a catch and shoot, he will lean/fade to his right, which alters his shot. George will need to buy in more on the defensive end if he wants to see major minutes in Scott Drew’s defensive system next season at Baylor.
