Summary
Ernest Udeh is a 6’10 Center who has excellent length for a big man. Udeh is also a good athlete, being able to move well up and down the court, running rim to rim very effectively. He is an excellent screener who excels in the PnR as a lob finisher. Rebounding is what Udeh excels at on both ends every possession. He has good fundamentals, hands, and positioning to secure rebounds over most opponents. Udeh is limited in his offensive game, not having great footwork or a go to post move besides a righty hook. He has no range beyond 5 feet, and he should never handle the ball. He is becoming a better passer, but he still has a way to go to feel more comfortable. Udeh has the tools to be a solid defender at the next level. He plays upright and out of position too much for someone with his potential. Under Bill Self’s coaching in Kansas he should be able to fix that rather quickly.
