Summary
Cason Wallace is a 6’4 combo guard who is one, if not the best defenders in this class. He has great hands, always getting into passing lanes and getting deflections, as well as elite lateral quickness, always being able to stay in front of his man. Versatility is a major calling card for Wallace too, having great length, wingspan, and shoulders helps him be able to guard multiple positions. Wallace never takes plays off and is always the leader of the team on both ends of the floor. He is improving as a lead guard and overall shooter. Ball handling will need to be much better at the next level due to having little above average athleticism, as well as needing to take on more responsibility running an offense. Absorbing contact in the lane and using his frame to finish should be an emphasis for him as well. Cason Wallace has outstanding two-way potential that will be developed further next season as he suits up for the Kentucky Wildcats.
